CAD Projects Australia, trading as CAD Projects (ABN 30 160 773 571) (CAD Projects, we, us or our), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with ExcelWorks, our website, sales, licensing and support.
Information we collect
We may collect:
- contact information, such as your name, organisation, country and email address;
- purchase and order information supplied by FastSpring, such as product, order reference, subscription status and payment status (we do not receive your full payment-card details);
- licensing information processed through Keygen, including licence identifiers, activation records, device fingerprints, operating-system information and validation events;
- support correspondence, diagnostic information, screenshots, workbooks or Rhino files you choose to provide; and
- website usage information, such as IP address, browser, device, cookies and analytics events.
ExcelWorks does not intentionally upload the contents of your selected Excel ranges or Rhino documents to CAD Projects for normal table creation. Information you voluntarily send for support may contain project data, so remove confidential content where possible.
Why we collect and use information
We use information to provide trials and licences, process and verify purchases, prevent fraud and licence abuse, deliver support, maintain compatibility and security, improve ExcelWorks and our website, communicate service information, comply with law and, where permitted, provide marketing communications. You may unsubscribe from marketing at any time.
How information is collected
We collect information directly from you, automatically through our software or website, and from service providers involved in purchases, licensing, hosting, analytics and distribution.
Disclosure and service providers
We may disclose relevant information to service providers including FastSpring (merchant of record and payments), Keygen (licensing), Rhino and package-distribution infrastructure, website hosting providers, and analytics, video or anti-spam services such as Google Analytics, YouTube or reCAPTCHA where used. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, regulators or authorities when required, or in connection with a business restructure or sale.
These providers may process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other locations in which they or their subprocessors operate. Privacy protections and legal access rights may differ between countries.
Cookies and analytics
Our website may use necessary cookies and optional analytics or embedded-content technologies. Browser controls can restrict cookies, although parts of the website may then work differently.
Security and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information we hold. No system is completely secure. We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal and accounting obligations, fraud prevention and dispute resolution, then delete or de-identify it where practicable.
Access and correction
You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your identity and may refuse or limit a request where the law permits, explaining our decision where required.

Children
ExcelWorks is intended for professional users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The current version will show its effective date. Material changes will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
